L,D. Porter Jr. age 71, peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
L.D. Porter Jr. was born to the union of L.D. Porter Sr. and Arie Lee Wilkerson Porter on November 11, 1950. He accepted Christ at an early age at Bethel Baptist Church in Longview, Tx.
L.D. Porter Jr. was united in marriage to Jeanette Davis Porter on July 2, 1971. Together they had two daughters.
L.D. Porter Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Curtis Porter and Arnold Ray Porter.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jeanette Davis Porter, daughters: Connie Y. Porter and Tripola Porter, granddaughters Alexandria N.Thompson, Payton T. Cox, Mara C. Cooks, and Skylar N.Mathis and great-grandson Saint L. Johnson all of Longview, Tx., mother-in-law Dessie Davis, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed.
